I choose to distinguish between nonsense and inanity.I would put the thespian verses that you have recited into the "Inanity" category, whereas bizarre bollocks like Yellow Submarine I would place in "Nonsense". I rather like a lot of the nonsense, but I do my best to avoid the Inanity category.
Still haven't even heard that Friday song :)
