When I lived in Hungary I was shocked to find that their cookers didn't have grills.No toast of any description was possible. Gutted.

Cant you stick the bread on the element for a sec and then flip it, or were they all on gas? (coming from someone who has cooked fish in a hotel room using an iron and baking paper)
