Googling?Google actually complained about journalists using Google as a verb. Are they bloody stupid? If googling becomes the verb for using a search engine then surely that's a good thing.

But if it becomes generic ..... then they lose their trademark registration and anyone can call themselves a "google provider" or something.

SimilarlyI once saw an official marketing document from PhotoShop setting out the right and wrong ways to talk about their product, viz.:
WRONG: "This image has been photoshopped."
RIGHT: "This image has been modified using Adobe PhotoShop."
