Cant believe I forgot this oneApplying for bar work some time ago. I turned up to the "employment open day" being held at a new pub that was looking for 12 staff members. Along with 400 (yes, really) other applicants. After filling in a short form, I sat down with a harassed-looking man in his forties. He picked up my form and asked me if I had had any bar experience. When I replied in the negative he, without breaking eye contact, turned my form over and placed it face down on the table.
I left the building without further comment.
