IT Support JobsworthsI worked at a branch office, running the bespoke company software on a Windows desktop, using Citrix to connect remotely. Some days, I could print directly from the company system, and others not. No particular pattern to this. So I called IT to find out what was going on:
"You can't print from there."
"Well, yes I can, just not all the time."
"You can't print from there."
"OK well today it's working, so click Print...here it goes...hear that? That's the printer, printing. There's the page sliding out now!"
(Long pause)
"You can't print from there."
