Although my childhood was pretty good, I'd still much rather have cats than kids.

Cats are cute. I know and like them. I visited a mate of mine far more often when his cat had kittens than when his kids were born!

Kids on the other hand don't make me feel very much. I occasionally have them plonked on my lap by friends who have become doting parents, and I have no idea what to do with them, nor do I feel anything towards them. You can't scratch a baby behind the ears and expect it to purr, FFS!
