If you don't repeatedly veer out into the middle of the road,
or cycle two or more abreast, I will try not to push you off the road. I think that's fair.

I seem to remember in my cycling proficiency test
that two abreast is acceptable as it is still takes up less room than say a milk float.

Interesting
because I remember from mine that it isn't. Maybe they've changed it, it's been twenty-odd years since I did my cycling proficiency.

WTF is a cycling proficiency test?
Do you also have a test for bubble-gum chewing proficiency? A test for pissing without hitting the bowl? Wiping your arse without getting it on your fingers?

I think you're missing my point...
we are not all alike.
I don't cycle like a cunt. I quite deliberately don't cycle like a cunt as it annoys the arse off me to see so many that do.
You can't assume we're all the same just because we use the same form of transport.
We're not mini cab drivers, after all.

I get the point
and if you're not one of the ones that cycles like a cunt, you won't find yourself careering into a hedge.
That's all I was saying :)

cycling in the city
is basically an extended excercise in self preservation. if me getting to the other side of the lights before 500 tons of steel and plastic impatience does, i'm gonna do it - and frankly i dont give a tinkers cuss if i have to run a red light to do so - you getting snooty about 'bloody cyclists' is a small price to pay for not getting crushed against a railing by some mouthbreather who cant be arsed to check his/her left hand mirror.
bye!

I know what you're saying.
But it becomes an ever more vicious circle wherein motorists dislike cyclists and become increasingly aggressive towards us, so cyclists disregard the highway code more to avoid the aggression, which furthers the dislike of us from motorists, etc....
