Dear Rimmel
I see your latest advert features a black woman. Please could you let me know which brand of foundation she is using. I ask because there are no foundations on your website suitable for those of us with dark skin.
Puzzled,
TFBB.

I have to say
that some of the foundations featured in the ad seem to be darker.
That said I am very pale and can't get foundation light enough so I have no idea about foundation for darker skin.

There is absolutely no way the darkest foundation in that range will suit me, and I'm lighter than the black model in the advert!
Most companies only seem to cater for a very narrow range of skin tones. My friends who, in their words are so pale they're see-through have just as hard a time as I do finding suitable foundation for less than £10.
I've often thought about starting a company that caters for all skins tones without charging a fortune.

Fair point
then.
As I say due to not needing to look at anything else I pick up the 'Ivory' one in what ever range and find that that one is too dark.
This said we are basing our comment on one advert, they might look different in real life.

I'm planning on going to a Boots to check. This requires navigating horrible roundabout.

is Constance Carrol's candlelight shade. i'm very pale and that works for me. it's cheap shite, though.

Although like other repliers I do not have dark skin I've always thought that Mac seem to do a lot of different shades.

Initially I thought you'd opened with 'Dear Rommel', and the disappointment I felt when I realised I'd misread it has sadly spoilt any enjoyment I might have had from this post.

lo
You need to get yourself to Bobbi Brown. The foundation's a bit pricey but it is amazing and they'll give you a sample if you dither charmingly enough.
Either that or Screen Face (not a joke - it's amazing professional stuff and not even expensive. I used to get all my makeups from there when I lived in London.)
