£15.99 and think, oooh, £15, bargain. instead of £16? rip-off cunt merchants. or something like that.

what they SHOULD do is to make a £0.99p coin. penny problem solved!

Currency should be binary-ised. A pound should consist of 128 pennies, and then 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1 pence coins should be issued. You don't even need to stop thinking in base 10. After all, decimalisation went over without any hitches or confusion on behalf of the great British Public; this is just the logical next step.
