wasps are actually extremely importantin that they keep the numbers down of other insects. if wasps suddenly disappeared we'd all be up to our ears in all manner of bastarding little creepy crawleys by the end of the week.
that said though, i must admit it would be nice if they could fulfill this pest controlling role without being such utter cunts about it.
