Testicles
One guy in our local came in about a month ago sobbing and crying and told us he'd just found out he had testicular cancer.
As I've mentioned elsewhere in this QOTW, I've recently had a lot of experience with cancer deaths, and one of the regulars is the one who lost his wife through cancer in July.

We all felt sorry for the guy who said he had cancer, bought him drinks and had a whip round as he didn't have health insurance.

We went to give it to his wife the next time she came in......only to be told he didn't have testicular cancer, his nuts just hurt when he had sex.

About 5 of us almost lynched him........

He might have a touch of
Munchausen Syndrome. There was some mad woman in America who told her daughter she had cancer and then fleeced her entire town for money to pay for the treatment - it was all porkies. Turns out she had aforementioned syndrome.

Munchausen's Syndrome
I think that when a parent pretends that his/her child is ill (this applies to anyone trying to gain attention for themselves by claiming that someone they know is dying etc), it's called Munchausen's by Proxy. Is that right? It's been years since I've watched "Casualty" (which is the source of all my medical knowledge...)

Munchausen's Syndrome
is where you make yourself sick in order to get attention. Munchausen's By Proxy is doing so through making somebody else sick.
