I do
the same. But in my case it works.
Some pikeys smashed our gates down at work to get at the scrap metal out the back - the gates were operated by a key fob exactly the same as my car one. The company skipped the gates, electronics etc... which I salvaged and wired into the doors of my house.
I now have central locking for my house too!
Very handy when carrying shopping etc...

THIS! ^^^
Why doesn't my house have this? In fact, I want supermarket-style sliding automatic doors in my house so I don't have to fumble around in my pocket for my keys.
I'd also like an aisle full of cheap booze in my house. I should move into Tesco.
