Elderly drivers losing it......I got called to two vehicle traffic crash this week. The elderly driver was driving on the wrong side of the road and had a head-on. This does happen on occasion where I live as we get a lot of overseas tourists, some of whom forget that in Australia we drive on the left side of the road.
I was surprised that the elderly driver had a strong Aussie accent and he then told me that he was planning a trip to the USA and "wanted to get some practise in at driving on the other side of the road".
It all seemed perfectly rational to him. Good job no one was seriously hurt.
