I'll do one, as I'm not about to do a list of things I've watched.CSI, as it's a convenient counterpart to Waking The Dead. Both are the same concept, but one is a po-faced slog, paced needlessly slow in order to pad out several hours, whilst the other is breezy fluff that lasts under 45 minutes.
Not sure why I have to champion US telly, the thing I've most enjoyed watching recently was Utopia. I took issue with your list because the likes of Spooks, Waking The Dead, and Doc Martin are spectacularly shit.
