My sis went to a party on a beach in Tenerife
Where they smoked a bit of green (as kids do).

What she hadn't anticipated, however, is that there was somehow PCP in those joints. She took two tokes on the thing, felt severely unwell, and promptly fitted on the beach.

Needless to say she isn't really an advocate of drugs anymore.

Shenanigans
The urban myth of weed contaminated with some other drug is an old old chestnut. Why the buggering fuck would someone put a hard to come by (outside U.S at least) expensive compound in with the weed. The name of the supposed adulterant changes but it's usually either bullshit or a cover for the shame of being caught out by stronger than expected weed or getting the timing of such intake wrong.

2 tokes would be unlikely to contain enough active ingredient to be truly castrophic anyway, despite the lowish dose range. Hypertensive crisis and seizures occur at much higher dosages.

Yes
Except

a) I was there
b) I can testify it was not just weed
c) People can have a seizure from something small like one shot of alcohol.

hmmm
PCP just seems like such an unlikely contaminant though. How did you achieve the identification? I've had half an eye out for a go on some phenicyclidine for more than twenty years and never bumped up against it.

This was Tenerife 24 years ago
And they quickly admitted it to the Paramedic

fair enough then
What a bunch of cunts though, sticking a major league dissociative for anyone to get surprised by

Was PCP around that long ago?

yep
tested in the sixties for use as an anaesthetic in similar vein to ketamine but abandoned due to the side effects. Made it onto the street in the seventies. Never been widely available in europe, hence my initial skepticism.
