Keep it clean and fresh.A friend of mine had a holiday accident and burnt her leg on a motorbike exhaust while on holiday in Sumatra. Quite badly.
When asking for treatment she was prescribed a tube of toothpaste.
She declined and instead spent the night with her foot in a bucket.
