This is one of the reasons
I chose my GP surgery, it's got 6 GPs and a policy of encouraging you to talk with different ones. They're mostly quite young and are well aware that they don't know everything.

And I know it doesn't help at all, but given how slowly and asymptomatically ovarian cancer usually spreads your poor mum had probably gone into the "too late" stage before ever seeing the crap GP in the first place. I'm sorry.
