I refused to pay, and also have the knowledge thatmedical bills do not affect your credit report. The only bill I paid was the one I put myself in for.
As far as the medical bills go, it shows up on your credit report as unpaid, but as long as your regular credit is fine, it's not going to affect it..I'm paying $25 a month to the hospital (I'm unemployed with no insurance, they have to accept what I can give).
