Mobile phone disasters
Top Tip: Got "Going Underground" by The Jam as your ringtone? Avoid harsh stares and howling relatives by remembering to switch to silent mode at a funeral.

Well I`d love to hear you try to make a case for sacking on your assumptions.
A mains breaker was taken out, was dead on reset on a volt sniffer. so mic amp, tele balance unit( and phone) and headphone amp were NBG 10 mins to air. All this is bolted in racks.
A mains dis unit, a mini sound mixer ( headphones out!) a stand alone intercom and a mic amp.
Apart from mobile phone how do you suppose I can coord with the sound mixer?
ouja board?
The order was MIC, headphones, intercom, and the sound man rang to say he could hear the mic, my ringtone and the laughter. i got the rest plugged and working before 2 minutes and was called again. Silent ain`t gonna work when i`m flat on my back moving connectors and phone on desk.
On air in studio or booth the phone is OFF! in emergencies this cannot sensibly apply.
I used professional in the proper sense of the word. this has been one part of my day job for too many years, more than 25. Oh and I got a herogram, not much, but there you go. "but he had his phone on, fucking sack him!".
