My mum
uses the word minge to refer to things that are a bit dirty, a bit 'aggy' - like their longhaired cat when it's been out in the rain. There is nothing quite like trying to eat your tea while a 55 year old woman chases a cat around the living room with a towel all the while shouting: "You dirty minge!"
