This is a question How nerdy are you?

This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.

So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?

As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Revel in your own nerdiness.

Nerd to the max
I think the fact that I own my own labcoat (with name badge!) and goggles sets me up perfectly in the nerd stakes.

I used to be into DnD. A lot. Our DM had a fantastic imagination. I used to have Wednesdays off work, so one Wednesday, we embarked on another fun-filled killing spree adventure. 15 hours and countless cups of tea later, we are all shitting ourselves thinking that there's something outside the kitchen window because the DM has described everything so well (and possibly because of the caffiene overdose). We had also drawn our characters and written life histories for them. Oh god, reading it makes it seem even sadder. I may have to go cry in the corner.

When I first started my job, I noticed two of the guys on my team played "Magic, The Gathering" at lunchtimes. So to make conversation, I told them my past adventures with DnD but it's gone wrong, they keep asking me to join them and are trying to teach me how to play. Aaargh!
