The nicest thing someone's ever done for meIn amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Slipped DiscsLast year I slipped 2 discs in my back, which in turn lead to some very painful sciatica. If anyone has had it - you know my pain. I also had numbness from my left ankle down.
So surgery was needed. The surgeon even said one of the discs was one of the worst he has ever seen, very reassuring!!
As I was living overseas at the time, I had no family to help me.
So....
Kirsty a very good friend of mine, nursed me for 6 weeks straight, including cooking, cleaning and generally helping out.
Im forever in her debt.

I SUFFER!Not as bad as you like, but the shoots of pain down my hamstring were almost unbearable.
Now with a good bit of stretching, exercise and good posture I have tamed it (I know it still lurks though) but going by your description I'd like to say... poor you :P Hopefully its cleared up now!
