Old stuff I still know
Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

Ultraviolet light shows yellow
When I was in 3rd grade, our school had a collection of Apple II's and some educational games. One was a simulation of oil exploration and drilling. I still remember all the things you can find in a core sample that indicate the probable presence of oil.
I currently have a degree in art history and work at Western Digital making the heads for hard drives.
Incidentally, if anyone knows what the game was called, I'd be grateful. It was actually pretty fun, at least in my nostalgia-tinted memories.

Have a look at
Wikipedia for the List of Apple II Games
There's a link at the bottom for mobygames, also a useful resort.
For me it was Wizardry (Proving Grounds) and The Ancient Art of War.
And I bet I could still manually dock in Elite on a BBC B.
