Old stuff I still know
Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

I had to teach myself to knit, sew, cook etc because my mother was always too busy cleaning stuff that was already clean - paranoid obsessive that she is.
I've taught my daughter all that stuff though - she makes great cakes, and knits beautifully. Been teaching another friend to knit too, who in turn has said that a teenage friend of hers wants to learn too, so I'll be teaching her soon too.
Its fun sitting in the living room knitting with a couple of friends having a good old cackle about stuff. Some of our conversations get quite smutty :D

pity, really
i don't have much in common with girl friends, what with them being into chick flicks and babies. i prefer horror and i'm as maternal as a housebrick. wouldn't mind a few evenings of knitting and gossip, but they're all too knackered or can't get babysitters :(

Get the kettle on then, I'll be over with the knitting later, for a good stitch and bitch.
