I'd rate Daniel Craig
as better than him. I'm not a Bond fanatic but Craig really nailed it in Casino Royale

Craig is a good Bond, but Connery is the yardstick.
He was a powerful, fearsome Bond. A callous bastard, just as likely to punch you as charm you.

Someone somewhere has said this before and I completely agree- Connery and Craig are the only Bonds where you can easily imagine them in the forces. Bond is of course a Navy man.

Like I said
it's hardly the subject I know the most about, but I prefer Craig. He fits the original books better for me
