I don't care where I go as long as it is reasonably scenic and not in England (rest of Britain is fine)

though I'd make an exception for surfbash

I was going to suggest the lakes, since they're relatively easy to get to
But they're in england.. Perhaps you could get a cheap flight to Jersey or somewhere? It's probably easier than getting buses up to the middle of nowhere in scotland..
