I'm all for AV Blair got a third term with the backing of less than 30% of the population. The only PM in the 20th century to win the popular vote was Stanley Baldwin with 50.4% of the country behind him.
EDIT: He only got pushed over the 50% mark by a coalition agreement with a minor party
