Lobsters
It would certainly be unusual. Not sure how easily it would tick the second box, though.

I did once have barbecued crayfish...
...while in South Africa.

I don't normally go a bundle on seafood but these were quite excellent.

I believe crayfish are easier to come by there than they are to catch in the Thames!
