It's actually quite a while since I purchased onethough my sister did send me a John Fahey album for my birthday a few weeks ago. I've grown rather fond of it, the man was an amazing guitarist.
I don't know if these count as "upcoming" releases but I thought I'd share them with you as they're fairly recent and pretty damn obscure, but definitely worth a look-in:
music.conniptions.org/ - second album from Fit and the Conniptions. Pleasantly atmospheric, moody and much more developed than his first outing
And, erm, soundcloud seems to be playing up at the moment but I'll link to some previews of Chris McConville's new album later if anyone's interested.
