I don't think so, you can't read 20 books in the bath, you can do that with music.I don't think any more books will be read than currently if the price drops dramatically.

I didn't say anything about people buying more booksI said they would get them more cheaply (i.e. free) from elsewhere.
However, people would be more likely to take a punt on an author if they could pick up a copy for (say) a couple of quid rather than £9.
