Dearest GonzWe all had a whip-round for your birthday and managed to get £500 together. I was about to spend it on an industrial-sized deep-fat fryer and a pallet of lard, but on the way to the catering supplies company I was accosted by a scabrous junkie who told me he needed £500 to get his hair cut so I gave it to him instead.
