TV chef Valentine Warner?
You horrible chutter.

I sat opposite Sioux and Budgie on the Circle Line once. Wouldn't.

Kym Valentine.

You'll be able to refer to her as, 'My Bloody Valentine'

Oh dear.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 21:59, Reply)
You sound a bit offended.

My pal Mat knows Kevin Shields.
He is 'fucking weird' and 'has BO'.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:02, Reply)
He was excellent in Primal Scream.
And he does seem like he would be a total oddball IRL.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:05, Reply)
I saw him guest at a Spacemen 3 show a couple of years ago. He's good.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:06, Reply)
Spacemen 3?
Do you mean as in Jason Spaceman and Sonic Boom, or is this a Pierce free Spacemen 3?

On a lighter note, Lord can You Hear Me? is one of my favourite songs ever.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:07, Reply)
No Pierce - and he wasn't missed to be honest.
It was amazing.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:10, Reply)
No Pierce?
Then again, Spiritualized do Spacemen 3 songs, so it all works out. The order of greatness of the versions of Lord Can You Hear Me? goes Spacemen 3, Low, Spiritualized.

My Bloody Valentine.
His part in Scream was...
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:07, Reply)
He joined Primal Scream during the XTRMNTR & Evil Heat era.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:09, Reply)
Was he on XTERM etc..
I had no idea.

I love the fact that that album was more or less recorded live, with a little bit of overdub.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:15, Reply)
XTRMNTR is superb, except for Pills.
Worst rapping ever.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:17, Reply)
Worse than PM Dawn?

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:18, Reply)
Worse than Run-DMC.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:24, Reply)
Bruce Hornsby isn't hip hop Jeff.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:25, Reply)
I've no idea who Bruce Hornsby is.
But he sounds like an Australian toy-railway.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:26, Reply)
You do.
He did a gay pop song called 'That's just the way it is' - sampled by terminal spastic '2-Pac'.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:30, Reply)
Tupc Shakur was a colossal lifter.
An inveterate quender.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:24, Reply)
But why?

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:25, Reply)
I think you might be deaf.
If you want to name a shit MC then Chuck D(eacon) would be a fair call. Sanctimonious, monotone and dull as piss - their beats were so good few noticed.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:27, Reply)
I know what Chuck D's limitations as an MC are, but it doesn't negate how great PE were.
Run DMC were just wiggidy wack though. Doubly so when that piss poor 'house' remix of It's Like That made Jeff take notice of them, back in 1997.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:31, Reply)
By 'Walk this Way' they were awful.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:31, Reply)
that version of walk this way is appalling

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:32, Reply)
the video is excruciating too.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:18, Reply)
No.
Motorhead was on Vanishing Point. Probably their best album as well.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 22:21, Reply)
He's in My Bloody Valentine
Seminal shoegaze band. Loveless was one of the finest records of the 1990s.
