I recently bought the Jimi Hendrix experience
and, I have to say, the famous ones are famous for a reason. The reason is because the rest of the album is kind of wanky and indulgent.

It was a patchy album.
By then he was pretty fried and was overindulged in the studio. Still a masterpiece though if you ask me. Axis: Bold As Love (his 2nd LP) is the critics' choice for his best. I love all of them and am a big gay.
