yes, where i'm climbing stairs and i have to cross over an open gap from my staircase that ends To get to another staircase or to another level of whatever house or building I'm in and I'm always terrified

As kids we used to play in a ruined monastery with a tower which was fun to climbabout halfway up the stairs there was a room with a concrete floor which was only supported on two sides. So stepping off the stairs you had a clear view down a foot sized gap between the floor and the wall to the ground about 40 feet below. Always put the shits up me.
