I also gazzed Rob with the very same suggestion too...
...no reply as yet.

The reply function is killing QOTW I feel. I've pointed a lot of newbies there and the feedback is mostly the same as the old hands - namely that posting anything is an utterly joyless experience.

This week's meagre effort stretched to four pages, most of it very badly written and poorly structured. I know there's been a backlash against a lot of emo, self indulgent posts but in amongst those were some absolute gems. However, the bad vibes appear to be disuading anyone from posting these days. If QOTW isn't meant to be entertaining, then what the heck is the purpose of it for? It's sure as hell not drawing the viewing punters in.

Waving a ban hammer is counter productive, I don't believe that it's the way to go at all but something needs to be changed if we're to encourage people to post their stuff again. Taking out QOTW replies is the least difficult way of doing this.

O/T should be for all QOTW related chit-chat and as such any post related comments should be restricted to here. There's nowt wrong with making QOTW a slightly less shark infested place, no?

Maybe he misunderstood and removed the reply function from gazzes?
