my old flatmate used to work for Granada Men & Motors as an editor. He got Soul in to voiceover some ads for Starsky and Hutch repeats: apparently he was drunk out of his mind throughout, and urinated in the lift on his way out.

a friend of mine saw david soul in a chip shop in chelmsford once
and drunkenly sang 'don't give up on us baby' at him. he was pissed as well and they delivered a rousing rendition to two bored housewives and a tramp.
