I have no idea about the legality of former band members doing live renditions, I always assumed the songwriter had ultimate say-soI'm with you on their public persona - obviously - though am also grateful that it basically meant they sold fuck all in America. However I also hated every last one of their piss-poor songs with a fiery vengeance. They made Blur look competent. BLUR.

I don't mind blur, at least they developed their sound during their career, it weren't just the same song for ten years spread out over sixteen different albums(

On this point I completely agreeDidn't like their later stuff either but at least it was different. Their output whilst competing with Oasis was fucking terrible though.
