Malaga isn't a bad place to base yourself in for a week - you can get to all sorts of interesting stuff within an hour's drive.(

The rents have a villa down by Marbella, there's loads to see and do between Malaga, Marbella and Gibraltar; or you can head inland into Andaluciathere's as much egg and chips as you want if you're so inclined as well
