I made one a couple of weeks agoHad to fit an awkward space (half a chimney breast, a bed and a radiator to clear) so I used 25mm MDF for the top, cut it to shape with a curved front edge, routed the front edge over and bought Ikea legs for it. Couple of coats of paint and bob's your mum's live-in lover!
