I'm not a massive music fan myself, particularly of all the stuff that gets talked about on here.
Prefer classical, however I do like some Ska, though I know fuck all about it other than knowing what I like.

A lot of it is pretentious, in the actual sense of the word, not the Al sense of the word.
There's plenty which is structurally complex and emotionally engaging, but then there's shit like Gorecki, which is like Coldplay but classical, just dull, undemanding wallpaper music.
