...@DiT: Thanks. I haven't read that Stephen King one, but that's no bad comparison...
@Che: I did what I could today, but I'm not happy with it really. TBH I should have thought about what I wanted to write, rather than just letting my fingers wander about the keyboard at will. I think it's probably more important to consider structure, etc... when you have so few words as it's easy to go beyond 500 words without realising, and finishing with a story that doesn't really do anything.
Will try again over the weekend (or tomorrow if I can get away with another day of doing very little work).
