Not sure which the first record was
I had a record player that had an elevated metal arm that you could stack singles onto and it'd play each in turn. The earliest ones I had in rotation were:

West End Girls - Pet Shop Boys
Rock Me Amadeus - Falco
Axel F - Harold Faltymeyer
Living Doll - Cliff Richard and The Young Ones

Alt: I bought the Pump Up The Volume soundtrack in Poundland the other day. It didn't have the best song in the film on it. Sad times

I have the 45 of that
I have a great MC5 documentary on DVD, it's super-rare cos it never came out following arguments over the soundtrack.

I've only ever found one MC5 album (which I have of course)
but it's a live one. I want a studio album ideally. Also, I would like to see that DVD.

Back in the USA and High Time are both excellent.
Their studio work doesn't do them justice though really - that DVD is amazing. I shall try to copy it for you.

The best thing on the DVD is in the special features and shows them live in somewhere like Dunstable
in about 72: it is fucking awesome
