It was a fairly upmarket hotel, mind you.
Even a fairly modest pub will charge £3.50 for a pint of draft lager.

i don't mind 3.50, because to be fair, i charge more than that pretty much across the board, but breaching the 5 quid mark for a bottle is lunacy.
