Yeah but can burn wood if you're not very careful. I have fucked that one good. Took ages to make good.

Ah, OK.
I was stripping back to bare wood then staining using Danish oil and matt varnish as top coat.
Black marks in that situation look awful and sanding difficult routed dado rails is a bastard.
