*remembers something is still in progress*
but then an old colleague came into see me for half an hour, and so I didn't get as much done as I'd intended to.
But it's close to home time now, so it's no use starting it this late in the day. No point in doing today what can be done tomorrow.
*goes back to lab to rescue sample*
