How did you get on with the Nettle beer?

Well I spent about an hour picking nettles on saturday afternoon.
Which was fairly pleasant. Got a call from a mate while I was out inviting me out for dinner/pubbing with a group of friends. So I was like yeaaah, i'll be able to get this done in time.

Rushed home washed and boiled up the nettles, weighed the sugar etc. The Nettles just got to the boil when my lift turned up, so I thought, I'll just leave the nettles on the hob to cool down, it'll be fine.

So anyway went out about 6:30, and got back drunk about 00:30, tried to "finish" of making the beer which involved. Draining the nettles into a bucket, adding some water and putting a pack of yeast in. Not sure what happened, but I woke up sunday to green sticky film over most of the kitchen floor, nettles in a big pile in the sink, a stock pot on the sofa in the living room.

The whole house stunk like wet meadow and nettles so I threw the whole lot out. Not trying that again.
