Selfies are OK I suppose - they're probably the best way to get your pics on the social networking sites

The way I see it there are two main problems here.
1) the 'word' 'selfies'. It sounds like Australian gibberish
2) 'the best way to get your pics on the social networking sites'

Yeah, I agree about the word, but it's what they're known as. 'Self Portraits' does sound a bit OTT
As to the 'best way' thing - unless you have friends* who take pics of you, they're the ONLY way.

*Yeah, like internet shutins actually have friends.
