that is exactly what it is, for that sector. There are girls who are pressurised to get good grades, be a music prodigy, and go to oxford and become a doctor. The one semblance of control they can have in their lives they take.

EDIT: I'm probably speaking out of turn here, but I think that the majority of eating disorders stem from needing to be special and in control, far more than achieving a certain look. The accompanying body dysmorphia fucks all possibility of ever achieving that.
