I talked to the surgeons who did my spinal fusion and teh revision operation...... and asked them how many they'd done, how familiar were they with the procedure etc. Also spoke to the anaesthetists well before the ops. I'd rather go by this that some blunt instrument statistical table, you can gauge their reactions to very direct questions better than you can find anything out from stats.
