I like to justify that one to myself by telling myself he probably had some billz to play or sutin.
There's very little he produces that's actually unlistenable.
I'm a big fan of the 'Lovage' album he did with Mike Patton. That whole album is like a really, really creepy lounge seduction music. Imagine if you can, gonzo on a date night. That's what it sounds like. Only good.

If you cunts haven already done so I heartily recommend both volumes of Luke Haines' autobiography.
His music was largely dreadful but he is massively, entertainingly, universally vile about every single British musician ever.
